R.J. Brande is inflicted with a rare space disease that puts him on the verge of death. The Legion of Super-Heroes converge together to support him in the medic labs. Two people, a man and a woman, take the opportunity to enter the Legion's headquarters and go through their computer. While there, they read through the logs and learn the origins of the Legion of Super-Heroes and several of its members. The Legion return to learn that the invader is none other than Marla Latham, R.J. Brande's assistant. He tells the Legion that there is a vital clue in the Legion's logs that could save R.J. Brande's life and Brainiac 5 is left wondering if someone in the Legion is trying to kill Brande.
